Back when my older cat, Hugo, was a kitten I preserved his paw print in some foam-like-clay intended for use as a keepsake of baby’s hand and foot. As much as I love his little print, I sometimes wish I had tried again. Then in 2020, our Siamese kitten moved in with us. I knew
right away that I would regret not casting her paw print while still tinier than her adult-sized print. After about 2 months of not ordering the clay-foam, I have decided to go back to basics -- salt clay.
The recipe is probably originated in ancient Egypt. It's just a simple clay made of flour, salt, and water.
